Beach Club is extremely similar to Yacht Club. They are essentially connected and share all their amenities and perks.
We arrived veeeery early (like 8am) and let the front desk know that we had arrived, and once again asked for a room with a king sized bed. This was our first trip with our little guy and he was going to sleep in a pack-n-play so we didn't need a second bed. Our room wasn't ready, so we left our luggage with luggage services.
Off to the parks we went! This time around, our room wasn't ready until around 1:30pm, but we were at EPCOT so we were able to come back to the room and cool off thanks to that amazing back entrance. Since we had our magic bands, we walked straight to the room without any problems at all!
Our room was located near the smaller pool, and although it was a "garden view" room, we could still see the lagoon from our balcony. The rooms were clean, but the bathroom could stand to be updated. There was a tub in our bathroom, unlike at Yacht Club. We did not get the King bed :(. There was also still carpeting in our room. Looks like the Beach Club rooms haven't received the new floors yet. Luggage services was timely in bringing us our (many) bags.
Again, our walk to the buses wasn't bad, and we didn't wait longer than 15 minutes for our bus to Magic Kingdom.
This time around, we were much closer to the Beach Club Marketplace which made getting breakfast easy. I ran down while dad watched the baby, grabbed some food, and brought it back to the room so we could eat it together. We FINALLY were able to snag a last minute reservation to Beaches and Cream. We were walking around the Boardwalk, eating some pizza, when I happened to look and find a reservation. We didn't know (being new parents) that not many restaurants at WDW like you to have strollers, but we gave them puppy eyes and showed how small and sleepy our little guy was, and they gave in. Beaches and Cream review to come later!!
We failed, yet again, and did not use the amazing pool at Stormalong Bay. Our little guy was too young (in our opinion) to go to a public pool, but when he is older, you bet we will be going to the pool!!
I guess our biggest complaint was the elevator situation. We would normally use the stairs, but having a stroller meant we needed to use the elevators. Sometimes the elevators were quick, but sometimes we waited quite a while for them to come.
Overall, we love this resort and can't wait to come back. Parts of it could use a little updating, but nothing to cry about. Again, it was great for families and couples, and offered something for everyone.
