Planning Your Magical Vacation Part 3. How Long?

Now that you've decided when you're going to go, and what type of accommodation your staying in, the next big question is how long will I stay?

It doesn't seem like a big deal, but this will determine how many parks you will be able to spend time in, and how much time you have in each park.

For example, if you are only going for a weekend, you may only have a day or two to spend in the parks. I personally have stepped foot in all 4 theme parks in one day, but this challenge is not for the faint of heart. However, if you are going for a week, you will have a lot more time to spread out your days in the park. You will need to decide what you and your party can handle.

Which brings me to tickets. TICKETS. ARE. EXPENSIVE. There's no way around it.

That being said, there are several things to point out:

- More days at the parks brings your average price per day down

- Generally there are no price discounts for one or two days; savings start at 3 days

- Park hoppers are available to allow you to visit more than one park per day. A one day park hopper will be cheaper than 2 days of tickets.

- Check multiple sources for discounts (but be VERY CAREFUL about scams)

- If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!!

If you decide you want to stay for a week (or more), you don't need to buy a ticket for every day that you are there. You can spread out your days at the parks, and take time to do other activities offered at the Walt Disney World Resort. There are pools, mini-golf, Disney Springs, water crafts, horseback riding, bike rentals, and more. Of course some of these come with a cost as well.
